Please note that "Date Available" is often the day the dog gets euthanized... if the dog is not reclaimed by the owner (in the case of a stray) or if there are no holds on the dog by by a potential adopter. Most shelters will keep the dog for up to a week at most from the day it's found ('impounded') until it becomes "available". However, in other cases the dog may be eligible for adoption right away and so indicated by the "Date Available". If you are interested in any of these dogs, please visit that shelter soon to place a hold. Due to the high number of dogs that most shelters receive, they are rarely able to hold the dog very long pass the "Date Available" unless there is space. For this reason, it may be best that you call the shelter first to confirm that the dog you're interested in has not yet been adopted or euthanized, and is still there. Intake # I1103003 - Aussie mix male, young, maybe 1-2 years old, just showed up on the finders' doorstep one morning!   tried to find the owner with no luck, so turned him in to the shelter incase the owner was looking there.  During the time the finder had him, she found that he seem to love other dogs, very very playful, friendly boy overall, rides well in the car, seemed to be fine with a 7 year old little girl, a little rowdy & rambunctious and needs basic obedience training, but overall seems to be a great dog!

She is great around kids and loves being outdoors to play, so if your kids need to burn off some energy get 'em outside to play with Clara. Shepherd-type dogs need a job. They aren't content to just be couch potatoes. Too smart and intelligent for that. This girl needs mental exercise as well as physical exercise.
