Please note that "Date Available"
is often the
day the dog gets euthanized...
if the dog is not reclaimed by the owner
(in the case of a stray)
or if there are no holds on
the dog by by a potential adopter.
Most shelters will keep the dog for
up to a week at most from the day it's
found ('impounded') until it becomes
"available". However, in other cases
the dog may be eligible for adoption
right away and so indicated by the
"Date Available". If you
are interested in any of these
dogs, please visit that shelter soon to place
a hold. Due to the high number of dogs
that most shelters receive, they are rarely
able to hold the dog very long pass the "Date
Available" unless there is space.
For this reason, it may be best that you call
the shelter first to confirm that the dog you're
interested in has not yet been adopted or
euthanized, and is still there. We do our best to keep
this page as updated as possible, but due
to the high activity at most shelters it is impossible
for it to be completely accurate.

Park Animal Care Center by his owner on March 22nd. Weighing sixty-four

Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:This sweet
boy was found as a stray laying on the side of the road.
He had burned his front paw pads some how, so it hurt him to walk.
We took him to the Vet. and they fixed him right up. He has wraps on as
seen in the picture for approx. a week. He is approx 4 years old. He has
a quiet and laid back disposition. He is a very sweet boy. He is loyal and
loving too. He will make a wonderful companion. You will just fall in love
with him, he won us over and he will win you over too. Fixed with shots
and some goodies.Come on down and visit this handsome boy.

WILLY is a happy-go-lucky
dog who loves everyone. He likes both adults and
kids, and loves to be petted and scratched. Willy walks
well on a leash when wearing a Sensation harness, which
he doesn't mind putting on at all. Willy hasn't had a lot
of training in the past, but he is very, very smart and caught
on fast when a volunteer recently started training him. Willy
loves being trained and it gives him more confidence and relaxes
him when he is learning new tasks. Willy has energy, but he is
also able to calm down really well, and at a recent adoption event,
he lay down next to his handler's chair and leaned in to her for affection
most of the day, even though they were in a very busy area in front
of a store. Willy loves other dogs, but he can be a little overwhelming
for some at first because he wants so badly to play. However, if Willy
slowly gets to know another dog and is given a proper introduction, they
quickly become friends.
